Modiphobia versus Modiphilia

Modiphobia versus Modiphilia Indian political sentiments is swiftly moving towards dual groups with a strong hatred, fear and grudge towards Narendra Modi and another group with a strong affinity and love for Modi. Politics is becoming a religious sentiment which creates an excruciating pain and immense hatred towards anything which appears opposite to their favorite views. Modiphobian's are active in all the social media's creating all sorts of forwards and posts to satisfy their extreme craving for their hatred hunger. In response, Modiphilian's are equally equipped with their arms to counter with a nationalistic fundamental views trying to unite in the name of religion and nation listing out all the natural developments, a gigantic country with ample human resources could have achieved. I visited very recently, the dark, narrow, dirty, over populated nukes and corners of Delhi by accident. Is this the India we achieved in all these 68 years after Indian Independe...

Book Recommendation -Conversations with Friends

Image
Conversations with Friends by Sally Rooney Read Conversations with Friends by Sally Rooney. A book that compelled me to read at one stretch after a long time. The naïve language, transitory emotions of the characters maturing or going round and round day by day, aloneness, nothingness- all haunted me while reading. Will be reading once more to feel the nuances of strange human emotions and to learn nothing from it but to glare at life like a goose.

Ponmudi - Distance from the summer of 97 to 2017

Ponmudi - Distance from 1997 to 2017 On a summer of 1997, we had a surprise trip to Ponmudi. P. Chandrakumar (Film Director), Mukundan(Actor), Anil Mohan(Actor), Kannan (AG’s Office Employee), Dileep(Brother of Anil Mohan) and me were the members of the trip. We had a bike and a car for the unplanned trip. The famous Poorna Hotel Room no.33 at Statue Junction behind Secretariat is the witnesses of all these planning's and the freak outs during that period. The hot and humid city weather until Nedumangad and Vithura was suddenly transformed to cold breeze hitting our face straight. I traveled sitting behind Anil Mohan's bike.  After travelling 22 hairpins we reached the hill top. After long 20 years, Chandrettan and me visited Ponmudi again with Murali and Anil Babu.  Twenty Years had made colossal changes to the geographical ambiance of Ponmudi and to our face and flesh. But the warmth of our relation endured all these years, rather it became stro...

https://gulfnews.com/entertainment/books/the-sound-and-the-fury-a-chance-to-sense-nuances-of-life-1.1827297 “The Sound and the Fury”: A chance to sense the nuances of life The impact on a reader by a highly influential book, is so subtle that its characters and situations become perceptible at different courses of life and at offhand times. Our myopic view of life becomes more vulnerable, rather than it bringing substantial changes to life by its impact. Life is a tale, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing. The famous quote from Shakespeare’s Macbeth and precisely the phrase “sound and fury” might have been the inspiration for the title of the book The Sound and the Fury by William Faulkner. I read this book five years ago, and it still remains my favourite. Set in Mississippi, US, during the 1900s, it follows the decline of a white aristocratic family. The layout of the novel has been set into four chapters, of which the first three are narrated by the three...
